: I felt I had to reply -firsly I was one of those schoolgirls ( weekend Hippy) as someone once called me. I was 15, and loved L'auberge - thats where I met my first hubby Francis- a small spanish guy. Before I met him - I had the priviledge of going out with Eddy - I always thought of him as king of L'auberge, as he always sat on that seat in the front. I remember well the travelling experience in that disabled car of his - not much room for anything! I also remember taking him to meet my mother who did her best not to look shocked - she was used to my assortment of boyfriends!! Oh those were the days I heard he was last living in Bath.
: I too was one of the teenagers who frequented l'auberge,& knew Eddie (the hippie crippie)etal, also where I met Whoop John. I went off to Bath for a while. On my return I was introduced to the road, & the rest shall we say is history.
